LICENSING EXAMINATIONS Qualifications All applicants must be graduates of a program currently accredited by the CNMCC. In order for the applicant to sit for the examination, he or she shall complete the required 3900 - 5000 hour educational program approved by the CNMCC. Applicants must complete an independent scientific research thesis. Thesis results must advance the state of knowledge in the field of complementary and/or alternative medicine. Upon successful completion, applicants may be accepted to write licensing examinations. Languages All examinations shall be offered in English and French. However, the D.T.C.M. examination will be offered to Chinese practitioners in Chinese as well. Examination Contents - The examination shall consist of both a written examination and a clinical examination. The examination shall test the applicant's knowledge and competence in the scope of practice. Safety of general public. - A title will be issued upon successful completion of the examination. The purpose of a trade-mark is that the user (consumer) can distinguish the source of the product/service and the high standard of quality or reputation associated with that product/service. ® “Registered trade-mark” is protected nationwide and is for the owner’s exclusive use for the owner to license intellectual property to bodies interested in using its trade-mark to designate a similar service. The Council of Natural Medicine College of Canada (CNMCC) has developed a rigorous array of educational studies and examinations in the field of holistic, natural health and traditional Chinese medicine practices. As a means for the public to recognize individuals who have completed the CNMCC programs and testing, each educational program is identified by a trade-mark. One such example is the D.T.C.M. (DOCTOR OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE) program identified by its trade-mark. Upon successful completion of the studies, practicum and examination, we issue to our successful students a certificate that indicates they have met the high standards of education and successfully passed the rigorous competency program examinations established by CNMCC.
