Applicants who have completed any one of the following program at any accredited post secondary institution in Canada are qualified to apply for CNMCC examination and certification. Please see the following recommendations outline program hours, percentages and description of the core content for each program.

H.M.D. ( HOLISTIC MEDICINE DISPENSARY) ®

Exam Application Requirement

Minimum six years study in your institute (2 options)

1. Five  years in TCM and additional one more year of education in Alternative & complementary medicine
or
2. Four years in Holistic Health Sciences and plus two years in Holistic Nutrition and Body Work by Database is required.

Requirements for a Doctorate Certification

- Completion of Doctorate program in the University, or
- Completion of the advanced post philosophy diploma program (Doctorate level) in the   post secondary school accredited by the agency of Ministry of Education.
- A competent research

Program Structure

- Theory Hours (2500 hours) including core course and electives (listed below) to be completed in an approved and accredited educational institution. Each Doctorate program consists of 800 hrs of study in  advanced  Physiology & pathology. 800 hrs of study in advanced pharmacology & toxicology and 900 hours of focused study specific to that program.

- Clinical & Research Hours (2500hours).

- Upon evidence provided hours collected in private clinicial practice will  be credited towards clinical and research hours.

- Thesis based on scientific research conducted in hospital or laboratory setting. (details below)

Thesis Requirements

Research Topic

Research topic need to be related to the complementary and alternative medicine.

- Students are required to prepare a thesis proposal and present it to the faculties prior to proceed on the major components of the student's research.

-  TCM  Classics Huang Di Nei Jing, Shang Han Lun.Wen Bing Xue, Jing Gue Yao Lue & Nan Jing
-  Discussion of Clinical cases.

D.P.O.M (DOCTORATE OF PHILOSOPHY IN ORIENTAL MEDICINE) ®

- 900 study hours in Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Korean, Japanese & ayurvedic Medicine.

- 900 study hours in orthomolecular nutrition supplements, acupuncture, massage & detoxification.

D.N.H.P. ( DOCTORATE IN NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCTS) ®

Clinical & Research hours - 2500 Hours
Total - 5000 Hours
Duration - 9 Semester

- 900 hours of study in natural health products based on comprehensive scientific database (vitamins, minerals,supplements)

D.H.H. (DOCTORATE IN HOLISTIC HEALTH) ®

Duration - 9 Semester

Major in one or more of the followings: preventive medicine, orthomolecular nutrition, detoxification yoga, qi gong, ta chi, meditation etc.
